School Nurse - Registered Nurse
About the role
Ballarat Clarendon College is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis with the potential of permanent part-time hours.
The nursing team interacts with all areas and levels of students and staff as well as relevant external parties which often require discretion and confidentiality.

Selection criteria
- A commitment to students' physical health, social, emotional and intellectual development, including a strong understanding of the Child Safe Standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including parents.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a registered Nurse.
- Current BLS/CPR.
- Capacity to work in a high-performing team, including a willingness to seek and respond to feedback and proficiency in the use of communication technology.
- Ability to work independently, with excellent decision making and nursing assessment skills.
- Unrestricted Victorian driver's licence.
Knowledge, skill and qualification requirement
This role will require:
- Providing safe patient care to students in line with the National Standards, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and scope of practice. This will likely include soft tissue injuries, fractures, basic wound care and medication administration.
- Competent and safe nursing management of incidents that require further medical treatment that may include emergency response including anaphylaxis, asthma, cardiac events and trauma.
